E Portfolio in support of Blackpool CLC Application

After completeing a degree in Management from Lancaster University Mr M secured a position with BAE Systems on their Graduate Development Program.  He gained many experiences most noteably both commercial and project management until he progressed into a Business Development and Marketing role where he worked as part of multi discipline and multi partnership team.

It was the involvement of Mr M initially with work experience students wher he organised a team of graduates to develop a two week work experience project for over 20 Year 10 students.  The students worked in groups to put together a ‘Bid’ that satisfied customer requirements.  They received a number of presentations and took part in a wide range of activities that facilitated them completing aspects of the project.  The project culminating in a presentation to senior management.

Mr M then got involved in Engineers into schools which saw him facilitate a number of events.  Then in his final position at BAE Systems Mr M mentored new graduates and as part of his role within the team developed training programmes and delivered training to employees, partners and customers which led hom to persue a career in education.

After completing a PGCE at Edge Hill MR M moved onto teach in a brand new Academy, a succussfull secondary school in Oldham and now works in Lancaster at anothe successful school which in January 2008 was inspected by Ofsted and achieved an outstanding rating.  Throughout hos teaching career so far Mr M has been enthused by the use of ICT and has been involved in many different activities and on many occasions taking a proactive and leading role.

Outside of work Mr M enjoys messing around with gadgets, spending time with friends and experiencing lots of adventures, which last summer saw Mr M travelling through 10 European countries with friends as well as diving in Egypt.  Mr M also enjoys his sport with a special passion for football both playing and watching.
